We all woke up dark and early, packed, and ate breakfast, all in time to be at the CIA by 8 am.  We went through some pretty thick security and set of every alarm with our medals.  There, we got to hear about the seal of the CIA, as well as the two memorials in the front lobby.  After that, we met with Sue Bromley, the Assistant Deputy Director of the CIA, who told me she was glad to see a girl in our ranks!  I agreed!  Once we’d gotten our photos and presented her with our thank you gifts, we received a tour of the CIA’s museum, which was pretty awesome!

After the CIA, we made our way to the Surgeon General’s office, where we talked with the Deputy Surgeon General, Rear Admiral Boris Lushniak.  I was able to teach him how to pound fists, including Jellyfish, Snail, and Turkey.

We then made our way back to the hotel and said our goodbyes, as everyone gradually trickled out of the hotel and to the airport.  I miss everyone already!  It was a week I will never forget, filled with amazing people, who have done, and will continue to do wonderful things in their lives!  I hope they will all have fun, and I hope to see them again soon!
